Established in 1976, Dredging Corporation of India began operations with a fleet of four dredgers. The company has since expanded its fleet to more than ten dredgers, reflecting its evolving capability in supporting national maritime development projects.
As part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, the company acknowledged the support of its four promoter ports: Visakhapatnam Port Authority, Paradip Port Authority, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, and Deendayal Port Authority. The management also credited the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways for its guidance.
The expansion from four to more than ten dredgers represents a significant increase in the company’s operational capacity. The fleet growth aligns with its long-term tenure in the sector and suggests sustained demand for its dredging services across major Indian ports.
Dredging Corporation of India’s historical stock returns show gains of 0.87% over one day, while the stock declined 3.26% over five days and 2.08% over one month. The company recorded a 6-month gain of 8.29% and a 1-year gain of 60.94%, while its 5-year return stands at 0.0%.
The 2026 award comes as the company marks its Golden Jubilee, highlighting its continued presence in India’s dredging sector and its contribution to port and maritime infrastructure development.
